Job Summary:
The Media Buyer is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing media campaigns across various platforms to effectively reach the target audience. This role requires a deep understanding of media planning, negotiation skills, and the ability to analyze data to make informed decisions. The Media Buyer will collaborate with the advertising team to develop and implement media strategies that align with the company's marketing goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify target audience demographics, media habits, and market trends.
2. Develop comprehensive media plans and strategies to achieve marketing objectives, considering budget constraints and campaign goals.
3. Collaborate with advertising team to determine the most suitable media channels, such as TV, radio, print, digital, and social media, based on target audience and campaign objectives.
4. Negotiate media rates and secure favorable advertising placements, ensuring maximum reach and impact within allocated budgets.
5. Monitor and analyze media campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
6. Optimize media campaigns by adjusting strategies, targeting, and media mix based on ongoing performance analysis.
7. Stay updated with industry trends and emerging media platforms to recommend innovative approaches for advertising campaigns.
8. Maintain relationships and negotiate contracts with media vendors, ensuring favorable terms and pricing for the company.
9. Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling and impactful ad content that aligns with media strategies.
10. Maintain accurate records of media budgets, invoices, and campaign performance metrics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
2. Proven work experience as a Media Buyer or in a similar advertising role.
3. Strong knowledge of media planning, buying processes, and industry best practices.
4. Proficient in using media planning and reporting tools.
5. Excellent negotiation skills with a proven ability to secure favorable media rates and placements.
6. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to optimize media campaigns.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external vendors.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
10. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and documentation.
